Welcome to the STU Campus Ministry Webpage!

Dear friend,

It is with great joy that I welcome you to Campus Ministry!

From the foundation of the university as an institution, the goal has been deeply rooted in the search for knowledge and truth. The university, derived from the Latin term universitas defines a faith community which comes together to seek truth.

Here at St. Thomas University, our goal is to assist every individual person in becoming a leader for life. With our mission statement always before us, we seek to assist each person in their search to become holistic so that in turn they can become an exemplary leader in their respective communities.

Campus ministry, driven by our Catholic identity at St. Thomas University, follows closely the late Blessed John Paul II's apostolic constitution Ex Corde Ecclesiae. In the said constitution, our beloved late pontiff states: "BORN FROM THE HEART of the Church, a Catholic University is located in that course of tradition which may be traced back to the very origin of the University as an institution" (ECE,1). Hence, the Church founded by Christ out of love for humanity is ever present in our hearts so that we can share that same love with all.

The goal of the campus ministry is to assist each person, regardless of their faith tradition, to become a holistic person uniting faith and reason in their studies and work. Furthermore, our mission is to assist our students, faculty, and staff in any way possible.

Therefore, I welcome you with open arms and ask that you take a few minutes and enjoy a cup of coffee and a few laughs in our office located in the Dooner building room 114.   Perhaps you may also join us for worship at the gorgeous St. Anthony Chapel: daily mass at 12:15pm, Sunday mass at 7:00pm and the many initiatives we have prepared particularly for YOU!!!

I personally look forward to meeting you and count on the constant support and prayers of the Campus Ministry Office.

Blessings,

Father Luis A. Rivero
