Over 300 Attend Homeland Security and
Disaster Response Seminar

John Yearwood, World Editor for The Miami Herald moderated the discussion amongst high-level experts in terrorism, natural and man-made disasters and Homeland Security.
The seminar focused on a wide-variety of timely issues ranging from the threat of domestic terrorism and the motives behind international terrorism to the importance of interagency communications during times of crisis.
In attendance were over 300 police officers, firefighters, government officials and others interested in the field of emergency management.

Charles Lanza, Director of Broward Emergency Management
Max Mayfield, Former Director of the National Hurricane Center
Amos Rojas, Special Agent in Charge , FDLE-Miami Regional Operations Center
Mark Hastbacka, Supervisory Special Agent - FBI Miami Office
Dr. Adam Silverman, Social Science Advisor - US Army Human Terrain System
Dr. Abdy Javadazeh, Terrorism Expert
