St. Thomas University School of Business hosted its annual Sports Administration reception August 10th at the Fernandez Family Center for Leadership & Wellness, gathering new and returning sports administration graduate students.
Lead Now Conclusion Ceremony “Young Leaders 2010”
St. Thomas University celebrated the concluding ceremony of the Lead Now program, which offers high school students a two-year, six week summer program for which they receive college credits in math and English as well as weekly leadership workshops by community leaders.

STU Employee Wrote Song for Number 1 Album in Billboard Chart
St. Thomas University Multimedia Coordinator Carlos de Yarza debuted a Number 1 Song on the Billboard’s Album Chart and the Latin Pop Album Chart. The album is also Number 1 on the Amazon sales charts. It won Platinum in Mexico, only 20 days after its release, and it won Gold in Argentina and several other countries.

St. Thomas University celebrated the “Year of the Priest,” with a week filled with events. The Most Reverend Archbishop John C. Favalora inaugurated the momentous occasion March 16 with a campus Mass followed by a Paella luncheon in Plaza Kelly.

Mock Trial Team Takes Home the Gold Again
STU Law Mock Trial Team won four trophies at this year’s Nova Law School Closing Argument competition. The competition, which was open to all Florida law schools, took place March 20th and 21st. After the first day of intense competition, 16 students advanced to the second day, 12 of those were STU Mock Trial members and member-candidates.

St. Thomas University Multimedia Coordinator Carlos de Yarza debuted a Number 1 Song on the Billboard’s Album Chart and the Latin Pop Album Chart. The album is also Number 1 on the Amazon sales charts. It won Platinum in Mexico, only 20 days after its release, and it won Gold in Argentina and several other countries.

Mock Trial Team Takes Home the Gold Again
STU Law Mock Trial Team won four trophies at this year’s Nova Law School Closing Argument competition. The competition, which was open to all Florida law schools, took place March 20th and 21st. After the first day of intense competition, 16 students advanced to the second day, 12 of those were STU Mock Trial members and member-candidates.
