Global Entrepreneurship Week at
St. Thomas University

St. Thomas University School of Business celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week the second year in a row with a series of entrepreneur-related events. Global Entrepreneurship Week took place from November 15th to the 18th and was celebrated in more than 100 countries this year. Among the events that celebrated entrepreneurship at St. Thomas University were:
- An Opening Ceremony, November 15, featuring alumni entrepreneur and small business owner Guerdy Rejouis-Abraira.
- An expert Panel Discussion on Developing your Business in the Global Economy: Advice for Entrepreneurs.
- A Student Business Plan Competition, in which students had the opportunity to present their business ideas to experienced judges. The winners will receive start up funds for their business provided by The Center for International Business Education and Research. This year’s student winners were:
1st Place: Krista Weber
2nd Place: Andrej Milic
3rd Place: Niesha Jones
The celebration culminated with an Entrepreneur Award Reception, in which successful South Florida Entrepreneurs were honored.
