St. Thomas University Art Management Graduate Students
Visit Pablo Cano's Marionette Museum

Artist Pablo Cano hosted St. Thomas University Art Marketing students at his marionette museum Wednesday, September 8. Cano conducted a private tour for the students and discussed his unique art style while incorporating his creative use of marketing.
Students had the opportunity to learn how the artist and the artistic product are placed in the forefront of any marketing strategy. The art marketing graduate course is one of a series of art management courses offered at St. Thomas University as part of the Masters in Communication with an Art Management Specialization, which is unique to South Florida. In this program, students are able to network with artists, gallery owners, art institutions, and influential patrons of the arts community while developing their art management skills.
Pablo is a Cuban artist who left Cuba in 1962 and has since been a resident of Miami's Little Havana. His primary focus is creating elaborate marionettes from found objects. The marionettes take on a life of their own through his scripted and animated live performance plays. His work is found in numerous important public and private collections.
