Two Bobcats Awarded Player of the Week

For the second consecutive week a STU Bobcat has been named defensive player of the week for the Sun Conference. Last week, sophomore goalkeeper Victoria Shabhaz took home the women's Defensive Player of the Week award for her strong play against Westminster College. Shabhaz recorded 13 saves in her shutout performance. This was Shabhaz's first time being named player of the week for the Sun Conference.

This week goalkeeper Aaron Jones was named Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts against Nova Southeastern University. Jones held Nova scoreless and allowed 1 goal against SCAD in the Bobcats' overtime win Saturday.

Jones recorded 8 saves against Nova which ended in a tie. Against the 13th-ranked Bees, Jones tallied 9 saves on 10 shots and aided the Bobcats in a 2-1 victory.
