1st ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS SCIENCE
& ENGINEERING FAIR

School of Science Dean Wim Steelant addressed a group of elementary school students from the City of Miami Gardens this week as they received awards and recognitions for their outstanding science projects. The City of Miami Gardens Elementary Science and Engineering Fair Awards Ceremony was part of a series of science education initiatives co-sponsored by St. Thomas University. Dean Steelant had decided to establish a separate award in his name for outstanding scientific achievements. The $250 award and certificate went to a student from Scott Lake Elementary, Israel Zenteno.
