STU-Haiti Collaboration to be Featured on Radio Show with 300,000 listeners
The STU Center for Justice and Peace is proud to announce that Sunday, June 2nd, 2013, the university’s collaborative projects in Haiti will be featured on Y-100.7 FM’s community broadcast radio show “Here’s Help.”
The show is the longest running community service show of its kind in South Florida. Produced by long time South Florida radio veteran Johnny Dolan, the show is broadcast throughout the Clearchannel world-wide media network. The show features community leaders, opinion makers, elected officials and people who make a difference – with a listenership of approximately 300,000 individuals.
Krystle Douby, Communications Intern with the STU Center for Justice and Peace, will be featured on the show, speaking directly about her experience with the university’s collaborative projects in Haiti.
Said Ms. Douby, “I am pleased we had the opportunity to inform the listeners of Y100 about the great work St. Thomas is doing in Haiti. The exposure to the projects will enhance [the work] tremendously and create more jobs for the Haitian people of the Northwest.”
