STU & ReServe Miami: Blending Social Entrepreneurship

Launched in 2011, ReServe Miami helps continuing professionals aged 55 and over in reinvesting their career skills to strengthen our communities. In a new partnership, STU is now connecting experienced senior professionals and STU faculty and staff to build a stronger university, with the “ReServists” bringing effective business solutions to campus departments and initiatives. The ReServists will mentor undergraduate students in different disciplines to foster their academic, pre-professional, and professional success.

Under the leadership of Cristina Lopez, a Reservist Orientation was held at the Student Affairs Conference Room January 7, where the volunteers selected were also able to meet with our President, Associate Provost, Associate Dean of Students and the STU Deans. As 2014 rolls on, STU continues to partner with community groups that are interested in furthering our mission to “develop leaders for life.”
