NEW: 2013-2014 Student Health Insurance –AIS/ Florida Blue
First-time users will need to Register/Login with the AIS/Florida Blue website: www.aisstudentinsurance.com/stu. You will set up a username and password. After you register you will be able to waive the Student Health Insurance.
Full- Time Undergraduate and Law Students who have other comparable coverage and would like to waive out of this plan must complete the Online Waiver. You may waive coverage only if you are already covered by your parent’s insurance, by an employer’s insurance, other Affordable Care Act Compliant Plan or comparable insurance. There are no exceptions to this deadline. Appeals to refund the Spring/Summer premium will not be accepted, even if you are graduating in December.
Students failing to waive by the Deadline will be automatically enrolled in the Student Insurance Plans for the Academic Year, the premium will be added to your student account, and you will be responsible for any and all fee’s that accrue.
Waiver submissions may be audited by St. Thomas University and/or their contractors or representatives. You may be required to provide, upon request, any coverage documents and/or other records demonstrating that you meet the school’s requirements for waiving the student health insurance plan. By submitting the waiver request, you agree that your current insurance plan may be contacted for confirmation that your coverage is in force for the applicable Academic Year and that it meets the school’s waiver requirements.
International Students are required to purchase the student insurance plan and may not waive coverage. This plan will provide medical coverage anywhere in the U.S. and abroad.
All full-time undergraduates (except Organizational Leadership and Health Care Management), and full-time Law students will automatically be enrolled in these plans, unless a completed Waiver Form has been filed online by selecting “Online Waiver” by the specified deadline dates listed below:
