Alumni & Donor Relations

Welcome to St. Thomas University’s Office of University Advancement. This Office oversees St. Thomas University’s relationships with Alumni, corporations & foundations; and friends & neighbors. Through activities ranging from board development to special events, University Advancement seeks to support the mission of St. Thomas University – “Developing Leaders for Life.”

By providing a variety of donor investment opportunities, University Advancement actively advises donors of their best giving options. Donors wishing to support institutional scholarships and operational costs can give to the Annual Fund through direct donations or participation in fundraising events. Those donors who are looking to have a long-term institutional impact can create named scholarships; establish an endowed chair; or contribute to the capital campaign. As a 501(c)3, STU enables a donor to take advantage of several tax benefits. Additionally, the Office of University Advancement will work with donors on planned gifts.

Most important, the Office of Advancement cultivates and maintains the University’s relationship with key constituencies. Through Alumni Affairs, our graduates (recent and past) are kept informed of University developments; invited to events geared to their interests; and offered ongoing affiliation through activities ranging from sporting events to reunions.

Additionally, our Corporate Partnership program works with businesses to establish mutually beneficial relationships. From the “Business Leader on Campus” program to conferring CPEs on professionals, the University is an integral part of the corporate world. The focus of our business outreach is to strengthen our academic programs and create opportunities for both our students and graduates.

Lastly, the Office of Advancement develops and manages the University’s two main boards. The stewardship board – Board of Trustees – supports and guides our University’s President in overseeing the institution, while the President’s Board of Advisors acts as leadership volunteers in furthering the University mission in the community.
