The University’s first $40 million capital campaign raised money for several projects: A new entrance was dedicated in November, 2001; the Chapel of Saint Anthony was dedicated in February, 2004; the Carnival Cruise Lines Science and Technology Building will be completed in 2008.
Major funding was utilized for campus and classroom technology; library café; on-line library programs; campus study areas; scholarships; and academic programs.
Future projects include The Fernandez Family Center for Leadership and Wellness. The Fernandez Family Center for Leadership and Wellness will serve university students, high school students and the community at-large, by providing a place for them to gather and engage in activities meant to enrich the body, mind and spirit. The Center will house the University’s wellness and athletic activities, as well as a number of high-tech classrooms. It will also be the seat for a series of unique leadership opportunities, including the Fernandez Programs for High Potential Students
