Bankruptcy Externship
The Bankruptcy Externship offers a comprehensive set of legal services focused on assisting and empowering low income individuals in their interaction with the bankruptcy system. Law students, under the supervision of two adjunct law faculty and the attorneys at Put Something Back, as well as the mentors from the local bankruptcy bar, represent debtors in bankruptcy cases and proceedings. Students are involved in the interviewing and counseling of potential debtors regarding bankruptcy relief and the interviewing and counseling of potential creditors without resources regarding bankruptcy relief.
