Founded in 1984, St. Thomas Law is fully accredited by the American Bar Association and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools. St. Thomas Law has been recognized for the diversity of the student body and the sense of community among its students. The School of Law has been recognized as having one of the most diverse student bodies among accredited law schools.
School of Business
The School offers programs in essential business subjects, each emphasizing ethics and leadership skills. Our graduates find career opportunities in such fields as Management, Accounting, Finance, Marketing , and Economics.
Our Bachelor or Masters Degree students will find specializations in International Business, Human Resource Management, Justice Administration, and Tourism and Hospitality. The School’s Sports Administration specialization is nationally recognized
School of Science
The School consists of two academic units: The Department of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Computer Sciences and the Institute for Applied Computer Applications and Engineering Management. The School offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Mathematics as well as a pre-Engineering program offered with Florida International University and a pre-Nursing Program offered with the University of Miami. The School also offers minors in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Science. Concentrations are offered in Forensic Science, linked with either a degree in Biology or Chemistry.
School of Theology
The School of Theology and Ministry is a multicultural, inter-confessional, and interfaith community of women and men dedicated to developing and using their diverse gifts and talents to bring about God’s reign of justice, peace and reconciliation. The School of Theology and Ministry is anchored in the Catholic tradition. From within that tradition, and in the context of ecumenical and interreligious dialogue, we are committed to serious academic inquiry and to the methods of practical theology.
School of Leadership Studies
The School of Leadership Studies educates leaders through a diverse curriculum that reflects the global and technological environment in which we live and work. The Institute for Communication, Entertainment and Media (ICEM), the Institute for Educational Studies and the Institute for Professional Studies provide exciting educational opportunities for innovative leaders to guide us into the future with a positive and visionary approach.
Biscayne College is the home of liberal arts and social sciences at St. Thomas University, composed of the Department of English and Humanities, the Department of History, Philosophy, and Global Studies, the Department of Social Sciences and Counseling, and the Institute for World Languages; it also houses the University Honors Program and the Center for Ethics.
