Welcome to St. Thomas University. As Provost of the University and Chief Academic Officer, my priority is to ensure that you succeed in your undergraduate, graduate or doctoral studies with the tools to excel in the ever-changing professional arena. St. Thomas University offers a diverse learning environment and innovative programs taught by skilled and caring professors. Our institution has recognized the importance of addressing each learning environment as a specialized area, and has the proper academic structure in place where, regardless of your major, you will find an individualized academic learning environment geared towards fulfilling our motto of “developing leaders for life”.
Quality education teaches you the essentials and then gives you plenty of room to experiment. Through academic programs grounded in the liberal arts, you will learn practical skills in the classroom- like how to think for yourself, solve problems analytically, write and speak effectively, and interact with people from a broad range of backgrounds and cultures. Throughout campus you will also feel a strong spiritual presence- even in the classroom. Because diversity extends to religious beliefs and because we are a Catholic institution, all students take classes in ethics, philosophy, and religion so they can develop an understanding and appreciation of all faiths.
Our Academic Enhancement Center will prepare you for academic work at the college level and assist you in developing basic skills in writing, reading, mathematics, and English as a Second Language (ESL). You will have access to free individualized counseling, tutoring, and placement-testing services. You can also participate in workshops on library usage, note-taking, and study strategies, and exam preparation.
I invite you to take a brief tour of the programs listed below and learn what St. Thomas University has to offer in your specific area of interest--dynamic undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs from which to choose--including nursing, education, communication arts and media, sports administration, management and accounting, engineering, tourism and hospitality management, international business, and forensic science.
Come visit our exciting campus and learn firsthand the many opportunities that await you!
Sincerely yours,

Gregory S. Chan, Ed. D.
