How do I request my official transcripts?

The Official Transcript request is available through My Bobcat. You can obtain your user name and/or PIN from https://bobcat.stu.edu. 

How long does it take for transcripts to be processed?

Regular service transcripts take between 5 to 10 working days to be processed. Express transcripts cost $25 dollars and are processed within 24 hours for pick-up or FedEx next business day service. St. Thomas University will process 3 free transcripts every calendar year, all additional requests will cost $15 dollars.

Can transcripts be faxed?

The school policy states that no transcripts can be faxed due to the confidentiality of the records. Unofficial transcripts can be retrieved through WebAdvisor at https://bobcat.stu.edu or www.facts.org.

How do I request a deferment, enrollment and/or degree verification?

All students are responsible to submit their in-school deferment at the Bobcat Enrollment Center. Students are required to complete this form and provide lender's information for mailing purposes. If a third party is requesting education verification on a student, he or she is required to fax the education verification request enclosed with a record release signed by the student authorizing them to receive this information from our records department. How many credits are students required to take every semester to be considered full time?
 

Undergradute students are required to register for 12 credits minimum. Graduate students are required to register for 6 credits minimum.

Do graduate students receive honors?

No, as a graduate student you will not graduate with honors.

What are the requirements for Undergraduate students to graduate with honors?

Honors are calculated based on grade point average for St. Thomas course work. Only students who have earned 60 institutional credits are elegible to graduate with honors. Credit by Examination, CLEP, Military, Corporate Training and Life Experience (Portfolio) credits do not apply to the 60 institutional credits required for honors. Graduation honors are: Cum Laude (3.55-3.74); Magna Cum Laude (3.75-3.89); Summa Cum Laude (3.90-4.00).

What are the requirements to participate in Commencement?

The University considers commencement to be an academic event, and thus available only to those students who have met all requirements for graduation by the date of commencement or are enrolled on courses which, if successfully completed, will result in all requirements for graduation being met by the date of commencement. If a student is unable to participate in commencement, the student may participate in the next scheduled commencement. In such cases, it is the student's responsibility to obtain their commencement robes at the time of their originally scheduled commencement. In order to participate all students are required to submit their Degree or Certificate application by the deadline to the Bobcat Enrollment Center, no exceptions are made.

How can I request a grade replacement?

Any undergraduate course graded C-, D or F may be retaken once for grade replacement within two consecutive terms. Students re-taking a course for grade replacement must file the appropriate form click here (to access the form) and submit it at Bobcat Enrollment Center at the time of registration. Only the most recent grade will be used in calculating the grade point average. This policy only applies to St.Thomas University undergraduate courses. This request is process at the end or each semester.
