ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
The Organizational Leadership program is a nontraditional program serving adults who have already completed at least 45 transferable college credits with a cumulative 2.0 GPA or better, and who now wish to complete their Bachelor’s Degree. Organizational Leadership program students typically are employed full-time during the day or evening. Thus, although the program is offered in the evening when most students are available, some classes are offered during the day on Saturdays, or completely on-line. Courses are scheduled to meet one night per week over a fifteen-month period, and provide the learner with the opportunity to earn 48 semester hours of credit in class. The learner also may receive up to 27 additional semester hours for prior experiential learning. Classes are taught in a manner that is conducive to learning for adults. An atmosphere of shared family, career and age interests develops among the learners while working in a group setting.
Learners may complete a case study or project related to their current employment. Each adult learner will spend time researching literature, discovering solutions, and writing finished papers, all part of enriching the learning experience.
While in the Organizational Leadership program, learners are expected to spend 10-15 hours in preparation for each weekly class meeting. Persons who succeed in the Organizational Leadership program are typically self-directed and goal-oriented individuals.
