After you have been accepted by the Admissions Office, there are many things you need to think about and arrange at St. Thomas. The following is a list of things for you to arrange and take care of on your own.
1 . Pay your Tutition Deposit. Students are required to pay a $100 non-refundable deposit after they are accepted. This can be done by calling BASIC at 1.305.474.6900 with a credit card.

Housing and Meals. On-campus housing fills up very quickly at St. Thomas. If you wish to live on-campus, please complete the housing forms as early as possible.
Travel to Miami
The City of Miami, known as the “Magic City,” is located in Southeast Florida, in Miami-Dade County on the Miami River, between the Florida Everglades and the Atlantic Ocean. Since its incorporation in 1896, the City has grown tremendously. transforming it into one of the world’s renowned centers where people can work, live and play while enjoying a high quality of life.
Miami International Airport is conveniently located within close proximity of Miami’s major expressways. Below is a sample list of the modes of transportation offered from the airport:
- Metro-Bus:
The local city , which provides scheduled services to all areas of Miami-Dade County. The bus station at MIA is located on Level 1 of Concourse E, directly across from Customs.
- Metro-Rail:
The fixed-rail system, which provides direct, local transportation to areas throughout Miami-Dade County.
- Metro-Mover:
The fixed-rail system service, which provides transportation to popular locations in the Downtown Miami and Brickell areas.
- Tri-Rail:
The service, which runs along Interstate 95, providing commuter service to the airport from Broward and Palm Beach Counties. The Airport Station is immediately east of the airport, across Le Jeune Road (42 Avenue) on NW 21st Street. Bus connections to the Tri-Rail Airport Station are available from the bus station. Metro-Bus also provides free shuttle bus service to the airport terminal for passengers with a valid Tri-Rail ticket. - Taxicabs:
Taxicabs are available only on the ARRIVAL (ground) level at Miami International Airport, outside of the baggage claims area. Click here for further details.
