Travel to Miami
The City of Miami, known as the “Magic City,” is located in Southeast Florida, in Miami-Dade County on the Miami River, between the Florida Everglades and the Atlantic Ocean. Since its incorporation in 1896, Miami has grown tremendously and become one of the world’s most renowned cities for people to work, live, and play all while enjoying a high quality of life.
Miami International Airport is conveniently located within close proximity of Miami’s major expressways.  Below is a list of some of the different transportation options offered to and from Miami International Airport. Many of these modes of transportation are also available to the public throughout the city.
·      Metrobus
Miami’s Metro-bus provides scheduled services to all areas of Miami-Dade County. The bus station at MIA is located on Level 1 of Concourse E, directly across from Customs.
·      Metrorail
Miami’s Metrorail is a fixed-rail system providing direct, local transportation to areas throughout Miami-Dade County.
·      Metromover
The Metromover is another fixed-rail system providing transportation to popular locations including Downtown Miami and Brickell.
·      Tri-Rail

The Airport Station is immediately east of the airport, across Le Jeune Road (42 Avenue) on NW 21st Street.  Bus connections to the Tri-Rail Airport Station are available from the bus station.  The Metrobus also provides free shuttle bus service to the airport terminal for passengers with a valid Tri-Rail ticket. For additional information call 1-800-TRI-RAIL from anywhere in the State of Florida.
