Hi my name is Schuyler Smith. I am a 23 year old Jamaican. I completed all my education in Jamaica, and came to St. Thomas from the University of the West Indies In Kingston Jamaica. I completed my Bachelors degree in Political Science with a minor in Human Resource Development. I hope to become either a Criminal Defense or Immigration attorney. I enjoy networking, hanging out with friends and getting well needed sleep! I love interacting with people and sharing my ideas and views on virtually any subject.

  • Personal Bio:

I’m a reformed actress currently playing the role of 2L at St. Thomas University School of Law. I grew up in South Florida, but spent three years in Manhattan doing the starving artist thing before realizing what I really needed to do was stop being tortured by casting directors, and start being tortured by law school professors. I moved back home to Cooper City, took the LSAT, and the rest, as they say, is history.

  • Personal Bio:

I’m a 23 year Miami local who graduated from FIU with a Finance major. I decided to go to law school because I wanted a more challenging career. Sometimes you get exactly what you want. Law school has definitely been the most challenging endeavor I have ever attempted. At this point, I’m glad 1L is over. Whoo hoo! Now, I’m just trying to figure out what kind of attorney I want to be. I love the courtroom, but my business background also wants the corporate conference room. What to do?!? If you ever see me around campus, come say hi! I am very friendly and approachable and enjoy meeting new people. See you then!

Covington Campbell

  • Year - 2

  • Personal Bio:

My name is Covi Campbell, and I’m a 2.5L at STU Law. I plan to graduate December 2008, take the Florida Bar, and pursue an LLM in Admiralty and Maritime Law. I was a professional sailor and racer before coming to law school, and being in a classroom or library every day is quite different from being on the water. Despite the fact that my "office" has changed, I strive to bring the skills and qualities that are crucial on the water to my study of law. Quick thinking, analytical skills, and thorough assessment are needed to do well on the water, in law school, and in a lifelong legal career. My time at STU has been wonderful, and I love the school and its community. I’m a member of the Moot Court Board, a Member-Candidate of the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review, the Commodore of the Admiralty and Maritime Law Society, Vice-President of the Environmental Law Society, Co-Director of the Catholic Law Society, a Research Assistant to the Academic Dean, and a Student Member of the Inn of Court. Law school is what you make of it, and being involved in the school, its activities, and the community has made it an amazing experience for me.
