Monsignor Franklyn M. Casale, President of St. Thomas University, announced Monday, September 22nd at the dedication of the Carnival Cruise Lines Science and Technology Building that the University has received its first Endowed Chair from BlueCross BlueShield of Florida.

BlueCross BlueShield of Florida has been a staunch supporter of the University for a number of years and its first major gift endowed nursing scholarships.

The University thanks every one from BlueCross BlueShield for this exceptional opportunity and especially Mr. Cyrus “Russ” Jollivette who is a member of the Board of Trustees and is Senior Vice President for Public Affairs and Ms. Penny Shaffer, the Market President for South Florida.
