St. Thomas University School of Law is centrally located between Ft. Lauderdale International Airport and Miami International Airport.
Miami International Airport
Although MIA has the most international flights of any airport in the country, it can still seem small. It doesn’t take long to walk the whole terminal, but if you’re really in a rush, use the moving walkways on the third floor. Eighty-three carriers have flights out of the airport; the largest is American Airlines, which maintains a hub here. In addition to domestic destinations, there are dozens of daily flights to Latin America and Europe. Ground transportation is available outside baggage claim on the lower level. All major car rental companies have counters on the lower level. Car pickup at off airport locations can be reached by courtesy shuttles.
Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is conveniently located in central Broward County, making it useful for residents of the entire tri-county area. While smaller then Miami International Airport, FLL is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar expansion to double its size. There are 35 airlines at the airport. Delta has a much bigger presence here than at MIA, and Southwest also flies out of the airport. Most international flights are to the Caribbean and Canada, but there are some flights to Europe. Construction has made getting around a bit more difficult, but it should still take only 5 minutes to get from the parking garage to any of the 4 terminals that radiate from it.Pick up a taxi on the lower level of each terminal. Twelve major agencies have counters within the airport, but only Avis, Budget, Dollar and National have on-site pickup facilities. For all others, courtesy shuttles are provided.
