Students' Textbook Program

Committed to your academic success and following national research that indicates students who have their books on the first day of classes perform better in their courses, St. Thomas University has partnered with our bookstore provider, Follett, to introduce a new textbook program that will support your educational pursuit.

Notification and Pick-Up Information

Within 24 to 48 hours after registering for classes, you will receive an email notification in your STU inbox to let you know that your textbooks are ready for pick-up.

Once the email notification is received, you must bring the email with you to pick up the textbooks. The notification email contains a package number that will facilitate the pick-up process.

Due Dates

Towards the end of the term, you will receive another email to notify you when your books are due to return (a.k.a., "check-in") to the bookstore.

Throughout the semester, you may write on and/or highlight the books as needed; however, liquid damaged textbooks are NOT acceptable for check-in by the bookstore. If your book has water or liquid damage, you will keep the book and be charged the difference between the rental price and the book's retail price when you return for check-in at the bookstore. Similarly, students who would like to keep the book when the term is over may do so by paying difference between the rental price and the book's retail price.

The bookstore will be open on the Saturday after each due date to accommodate busy traffic.

Add / Drop

If you add a course during the Add/Drop period, please check your STU email inbox for the textbook pick-up notification.

If you drop a course during the Add/Drop period, you will receive an email reminder to return the book(s), and it is your responsibility to check-in the book(s) at the bookstore.

If you withdraw from the course (i.e., receive a “W” grade for the course), it is your responsibility to check-in the book at the bookstore before its due date. However, if you do not check-in the book right away after withdrawing, you will receive an automated email(s) reminder to check-in the book as the final due date approaches.
