If you were awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) at St. Thomas University for the 2008-2009 academic year, you must do the following:

 

  1. Pick up your FWS packet at one of the following mandatory trainings:

Tuesday, August 26, 2008               Ken 201                    2:00pm – 3:00pm

Wednesday, August 27, 2008         Ken 201                    2:00pm – 3:00pm

Friday, August 29, 2008                   Ken 201                    9:30am – 10:30am & 2pm – 3pm

 

  1. Job placement. Openings will be posted at the Office of Financial Aid Employment Board, located outside the Office of Financial Aid in Kennedy Hall or on line at www.stu.edu/financialaid.

 

  1. You may begin work only after you and your supervisor have signed all required forms, and returned them to STU B.A.S.I.C.

 

Please note that we will not release your FWS packet if your financial aid file is incomplete.  If your file is incomplete, you have until Friday, August 29th, 2008 to submit all the requested documents.  If you do not complete your file by Friday, August 29th, 2008 your Federal Work Study award will be deleted.  You may view your missing documents on line through WebAdvisor.

 

Failure to return your completed FWS packet to STU B.A.S.I.C by Friday September 5th, 2008 will result in your FWS award being deleted from your financial aid award package.

 

If you wish to decline your FWS award, please indicate this on your award letter and return it to STU B.A.S.I.C. or fax it to (305) 628-6754.
