Jessica Fonseca-Nader joined St. Thomas University School of Law’s full-time Legal Writing faculty in 2006. A graduate of St. Thomas Law, Ms. Fonseca-Nader distinguished herself as a student. She was the Editor-In-Chief of the St. Thomas Law Review, served as a research assistant to two professors of law, was selected to the Appellate Litigation Clinic, and published an article: Florida’s Comprehensive Medical Malpractice Reform Act: Is it Time for a Change? 8 ST. THOMAS L. REV. 551 (1996). After graduation, Ms. Fonseca-Nader joined Bunnell, Woulfe, Kirschbaum, Keller, McIntyre as an associate, working directly under the firm’s Appellate Division partner. In June 1998, Ms. Fonseca-Nader moved to the Third District Court of Appeal and became a career clerk to The Honorable David L. Levy and, later, to The Honorable Barbara Lagoa. Ms. Fonseca-Nader joined Black Srebnick Kornspan & Stumpf in 2006 as Special Counsel. She focuses her practice on litigation support and appellate work in both state and federal courts. Ms. Fonseca-Nader taught Legal Writing as an instructor at St. Thomas University prior to joining the Legal Writing faculty full-time. She currently teaches Legal Research and Writing, Advanced Legal Writing, Appellate Advocacy, Moral Dilemmas, Art of Lawyering, and serves as the Assistant Dean for Enrollment and Scholarships.
