
OVERVIEW
President George W. Bush signed a bill on December 8, 2004 (Public Law 108-447) which designates every September 17th as Constitution Day. On September 17, 1787, the Constitution was signed by 39 of the 55 Founding Fathers. The legislation requires that all educational institutions receiving federal funds must implement educational programs relating the U.S. Constitution on September 17th of each year.
