STM Welcomes New Faculty
Beth Stovell is excited about joining the faculty at St. Thomas University as an Assistant Professor in Biblical Studies. Beth completed her PhD in Christian Theology with a focus in Biblical Studies at McMaster Divinity College in September 2011. She completed her Masters in Christian Studies with a focus in Interdisciplinary Studies from Regent College in May 2006 (studying New Testament, Spiritual Theology, and Literature). Before joining the faculty of St. Thomas University, Beth began her teaching career in 2000 as a high school and junior high teacher. During her Masters and PhD studies, she worked as an instructor and guest lecturer at McMaster Divinity College, Regent College, and Pacific Life Bible College. Beth has published encyclopedia and dictionary articles, has contributed chapters to several edited volumes, and is currently working on a co-edited book with Dr. Stanley E. Porter contracted with InterVarsity Press. Beth has a deep love of worshipping God through music and teaching and has worked in her local church for over 10 years. Beth is married to Jon Stovell and has two children, Elena and Atticus.
