The purpose of the Black Law Student Association is to:

  • Foster and encourage professional competence;
  • Focus upon the relationship of the Black law student and the Blackattorney to the American legal community and structure; and
  • Instill in the Black attorney and law student a greater awareness of commitment to the needs of the Black community.

We are sensitive and responsive to the needs of black law students and to advocate professional competence. Further, it educates law students and attorneys about the needs of the black community and encourages assistance whenever possible. The organization also sponsors a variety of academic and social activities.
