Congratulations on your upcoming graduation. All students eligible for graduation may participate in the Commencement Ceremonies.

Students wishing to graduate must first apply by completing the Graduation Application Form by the degree application deadlines listed below:  

Important Note:  Please print your name EXACTLY as you wish it to appear on your diploma.

Application Deadline Dates
December Graduates October 10th
May Graduates February 20th
August Graduates June 29th


Students who miss the deadline will not be eligible to graduate.

Participation in Commencement
St. Thomas University considers Commencement to be an academic event, and thus available only to students who have met all requirements for graduation by the date of Commencement. In addition, students must fulfill all financial obligations to the University in order to participate in the Commencement Ceremony. If a student is unable to participate in Commencement, the student may participate in the next scheduled Commencement.

GRADUATING WITH HONORS
Undergraduate Students
Graduation honors are calculated based on grade point average for St. Thomas
course work. Only students who have earned 60 credits at St. Thomas are
eligible for Graduation Honors. Graduation honors are: Cum Laude (3.55-3.74);
Magna Cum Laude (3.75-3.89); Summa Cum Laude (3.90-4.00).

Graduate Students
Eligible students will receive written notification from the Office of Student Affairs regarding their nomination for Kappa Gamma Pi, the National Catholic College Graduate Honor Society.

DIPLOMAS
Diplomas are not awarded at the time of Commencement. Contact Bobcat Enrollment Center for pick-up/delivery information.

CLASS RINGS
Class rings may be ordered at any time during the year through Jostens @ 1-800-854-7464 or by accessing the web at: www.jostens.com. Rings may also be ordered at the Graduation Expo.

PHOTOGRAPHS AT GRADUATION
Bob Knight Photomarketing, Inc. will photograph graduates as they receive their degrees on stage. A color proof will be emailed 48-hours following the commencement ceremony.
