COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course serves as an introduction to entrepreneurship focusing on transforming ideas into successful products, companies or organizations. It will cover all the steps involved in searching for and developing ideas, starting an entity, financing, growing, managing and ending a venture. Guest speakers will participate in some class sessions, giving us their diverse views on entrepreneurship.
• To demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental concepts and practices involved in entrepreneurship
• To understand the importance of entrepreneurship to the domestic and global economy
• To understand the impact of information technology on entrepreneurship- evolution of E-Entrepreneurship
• To develop comprehensive entrepreneurial business plans
• To understand techniques for attracting/sourcing different types of capital
• To understand the activities involved in due diligence analysis
• To understand legal issues related to entrepreneurial activity
• To develop an understanding of management, growth and control strategies for entrepreneurial ventures
