Democracy’s Laboratory

With a generous grant from the Florida Department of Education, the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida (ICUF) has established a collaborative effort to improvement civic education and civic engagement among high schools students in Florida. St. Thomas University has partnered with Miami-Dade County and Broward County Public Schools to offer 2 courses related to democracy in the United States. As a final product for these two courses each teacher has been asked to produce a professional development session that would earn participants Master Points. This site provides a list of these modules for use by other educational professional interested in civic education and civic engagement.
