Institute for Education

Welcome to the Institute for Education. The faculty, staff, and students are excited about the undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and certificate programs in education offered at St. Thomas University.

These programs and degrees:

 • respond to the needs of contemporary education with an emphasis on elementary education and the critical teacher shortage areas in Florida.
 • provide adults living and working in the modern urban environment of South Florida with the flexibility necessary to integrate the demands of a strong academic program with the needs of family and work.
 • link the best of contemporary research with the practical experience of a school setting.
 • encourage the development of educational leaders in the classroom and in administration.
