KEYS STAGES OF DOCTORAL STUDY

Stage One

* Admission
* Orientation to Miami, STU, IPM, and doctoral program
* Meet regularly with academic advisor
* Enroll in Practical Theology Seminar I
* Enroll in Practical Theology Research I and II
* Enroll in other required and elective course work

Stage Two

* Enroll in Practical Theology Seminar II
* Begin to sketch a focus for dissertation research
* Enroll in other required and elective course work
* Begin preparation of three key bibliographies

Stage Three

* Complete any remaining course work
* Enroll in Practical Theology Research III
* Establish a dissertation committee
* Submit three key bibliographies for review and examination
* Submit a dissertation proposal for approval

Stage Four

* Write Dissertation
* Submit and defend dissertation
* Graduation
