St. Thomas Welcomes New Director of Campus Ministry
This week, Fr. Harry Loubriel officially joined the St. Thomas community as the new Director of Campus Ministry, for both the University and the entire Archdiocese of Miami.
Fr. Loubriel is a native of Ciales, Puerto Rico, where he grew up the 15th of 18 children (11 brothers and 7 sisters). After receiving a Civil Engineering degree from Puerto Rico’s Polytechnic University, Fr. Loubriel studied at the St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami for one year before finishing his Master of Divinity at St. Vincent De Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach.
Fr. Loubriel was ordained on May 14, 2005, and went on to serve as Parochial Vicar at St. Mark Parish in Broward County before coming to St. Thomas.
“I am thrilled to be joining the St. Thomas University community and I look forward to all of the new experiences and challenges that await me,” said Loubriel.
