On behalf of the Undergraduate Student Government, we would like to welcome you to St. Thomas University. We are pleased to know you are excited about all the opportunities and challenges that await you. We encourage you to take full advantage of all the wonderful possibilities that STU has to offer you. We also invite you to take part in the many college activities that take place throughout the year. SGA is here to listen to your concerns and meet your needs. Our success depends on your feedback! Who We Are
The Student Government Association is a representative governance body comprised of current undergraduate students, acting as a coordinating committee pursuing initiatives for the betterment of the University. The SGA is made up of 3 branches, each which have their respective chairs (appointed or elected), and a chairperson voted by the chairs. The 3 branches and their responsibilities include:
Executive Board

- Vice President
- Secretary of Communications
- Treasurer
Judiciary Board
Legislative Board
- Speaker of Senate
- One Senators for every class
- One Senator for Every School
What We Do
The SGA is responsible for maintaining communication between the students, faculty, and administration by providing the student body with a means to deal with the affairs of students and as a forum for the expression of student views concerning Student Concerns.
SGA also sponsors many campus-wide programs each year. They sponsor dances, lectures, comedians, musical performers, and other special events. SGA is always looking for students to get involved with planning and production events.

How can I get Involved?
The Student Council Orgnanization meetings are open to all students. These meetings are held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month. These meetings are an excellent way to voice your concerns or get involved. Other ways to get involved is by attending club fair or even attending the respective club meetings on their scheduled dates and times.
In addition, students are always welcomed to visit your SGA in the Center for Student Involvement office located in the student center.
