St. Thomas University is proud to announce the opening of an archive, research center and museum on the second floor of the Main Library.

The Archbishop John C. Favalora Archive & Museum will be devoted to holding the history of Catholicism in Florida. It will encompass the archives of the Archdiocese of Miami and of St. Thomas University as well as those of the National Office for Black Catholics and other institutions.

The material will include a photography collection of over 200,000 photographs and 2,000 video recordings, copies of the Archdiocesan newspapers The Voice and La Voz as well as hundreds of thousands of documents that have recorded the history of Catholicism in Florida.

The research center will also launch a web portal of selected materials from the archives, which will be digitalized and available for the public.
