Susan Labasky Warheit served as Career Law Clerk to former United States Magistrate Judge Stephen T. Brown in the Southern District of Florida from August, 1993 through April, 2012. Prior to clerking, Professor Warheit was a senior associate with the civil litigation firm of Floyd, Pearson, Richman, Greer, Weil , Zach, Brumbaugh and Russomanno, P.A., where she was engaged in all aspects of state and federal litigation and appellate practice, with an emphasis on complex commercial litigation. She is a member of the Florida Bar, the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida Bar, the Federal Bar Association, and the Peter T. Fay American Inn of Court, serving as president during 2012-2013 . Professor Warheit was an adjunct writing instructor at St. Thomas University School of Law for many years prior to joining the faculty full time, and will continue to teach Legal Research and Writing, Advanced Legal Writing, and the classroom component for the International Moot Court Team.
