Social Science & Counseling Extracurricular Activities

The Department of Social Sciences and Counseling produces numerous academic and social programs throughout the year for the benefit of our students. Among these traditional events are the annual Constitution Day where students learn about the constitution using various lively game show formats, the annual Research Symposium where students and faculty more formally display and explain their research scholarship, the Holocaust Awareness Day where students have the privilege of meeting holocaust survivors who share their stories in intimate face to face round table settings, numerous graduate and undergraduate open houses, as well as periodic guest speakers such as Rudy Crew, former Superintendant of Dade County Public Schools.
