has been a faculty member of St. Thomas University since 1980. He has served as Chair of the Department of Social Sciences and Counseling for over 15 years. He has done post doctoral research at the University of Oxford, England and participated in numerous exchanges abroad including the Frei University of Brussels, the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, and Hebrew University in Jerusalem. As an active member of the American Society of Criminology and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, he has traveled extensively as a research scholar, publishing papers on comparative justice systems, white collar crime, and sociology of the law.
