The first, (co-authored with Psychologist and Counselor Educator Dr. Alan Schwitzer of Old Dominion University) is Diagnosis and Treatment Planning for Mental Health Professionals: A Popular Culture Casebook Approach, which is available from Sage Publications in 2012! This exiciting volume brings together years of clinical experience with a pasison for popular culutre in order to teach both counseling trainees and seasoned clinicians the art and science of diagnosis, case conceptualization and treatment planning.

Dr. Rubin, along with Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Play Therapist, Loretta Gallo-Lopez will be releasing their collaborative volume, Play-based Interventions for Children and Adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders, also early in 2012, published by Routledge. This much- needed resource will present effective play-based and expressive arts treatment approaches for working with children and teens on the Autism Spectrum.
