PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
 
Dr. Maxwell entered field of information systems as programmer; progressed to positions of Systems Analyst, Project Leader and MIS Director; became a General Management Consultant. Director of Training and Education Division at Cybernetics, International President and Senior Consultant for MSII, a general business consulting firm. Industrial activities included work in the manufacturing, retailing, and distribution industries.
 
Served as the Associate Dean and Director of Business Programs at Northeastern University from l970 – 1981. Became a full-time faculty member in the CIS Department at Bentley College; subsequently joined the Management Department at Bridgewater State College. Served as an Associate Professor at both schools.
 
Joined adjunct faculty at St. Thomas University in 1994. Presented courses in
Organizational Behavior at Business Policy at the undergraduate and graduate level. Joined full-time Department of Business faculty in 2002. Presented the following undergraduate courses: Organizational Behavior, Business Policy, Project Management, and Small business Management. Functioned as Coordinator for the       Organizational Leadership; Program 2002 – 2004.
 
Responsible for presenting the following graduate courses: Organizational Behavior,
Business Policy, Management Reporting, Advanced Information Systems and Advanced
Operations Management. Served as the MBA Program Director from 2004 – 2006.
 
Active member of the following Faculty Forum committees: Professional 
Development Committee; Compensation and Welfare Committee (Co-Chair 2007 –   
2008) and (2008 – 2009); Rank and Tenure Committee, the School of Business Dean’s
Search Committee, School of Business Reorganization Committee.
