School of Business student interns with the Consulate General of the United States in Milan, Italy
“Over the summer of 2013, I was privileged to serve as intern with the Department of State of the United States of America. Being able to represent the United States in Milan, Italy was an incredible experience difficult to forget. From meeting many interesting people to witnessing how the consulate was managed, I surely witnessed the American diplomatic mission in Italy. Lucky enough, Italy is one of the most beautiful and interesting cities I have ever visited; living in Milan for a considerable amount of time surely gave me a chance to discover secrets and appreciate the city more than an average tourist would. Perhaps the most important lesson of all the ones I learned is to never settle for average opportunities but to seek and strive only for the best.”
