Paul-Michael Klein worked during high school and college at Catskill Mountain resorts that led him to studying hospitality management. He received a Master’s Degree of the Cornell University Hotel School.
He has held positions with Trade Wind Tours of Hawaii, Fontainebleau Hilton, Jack Tar Hotels & Resorts, Sheraton River House and the Omni, Miami. Currently he is an Associate Professor and founding faculty member of the St. Thomas University Tourism and Hospitality Program.
His consulting activities span the globe, with projects and engagements primarily involving operations analysis and audit, marketing, hotel management contracts and franchising, revenue maximization, bankruptcy and litigation support, and the planning and development of eco-tourism destinations and projects.
His activities include: Co-founder Miami Nice, past President Florida Gold Coast Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International and Cornell Alumni of Greater Miami and the Florida Keys, Vice President of Florida/Caribbean Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education; participations have included: Meeting Professionals International, Caribbean Tourism Organization, Florida Restaurant Association, Society of Incentive Travel Executives, International Society of Travel & Tourism Educators for which he served on the Board for 3 years; he is a 2 time recipient, National Restaurant Association Teacher Work-Study Grant.
In the community he represents St. Thomas on the Advisory Board of the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism, a National Academy Foundation Program, Director of Miami-Dade County Public Schools Summer Options at St. Thomas, and was founding advisory board member of the Camillus Help Network, to name a few.
