Master of Business Administration in Accounting

Like business in general, the accounting profession is experiencing rapid change as a result of evolving technology and a moving global economy. Our accounting programs are structured to position each student for career advancement into the highest levels of professional accounting and management.

Degree Requirements

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting consists of 42 credits: 27 credits of core courses and 15 credits of Accounting Specialization. An additional three preparatory courses might be required to provide the needed base-skills for those students who have not successfully completed the following undergraduate courses: accounting, economics, and business statistics. Preparatory courses are offered in a one semester hour, self-paced, independent-study format.

The accounting specialization is only available to students with an undergraduate degree in accounting or its equivalent.

Part-time students taking two courses per semester can complete the program in as little as 21 months, if no preparatory courses are needed. Students are required to maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average at all times for continuation in the program.
