Management

Undergraduate students will focus on personal leadership skills and an understanding of management ethics and best practices. Students are encouraged, with the support of our faculty, to engage in experiential learning through internship opportunities. Working professionals who want to further their careers and pursue leadership positions can benefit from our graduate Management programs by building on the leadership skills they have acquired and becoming immersed in a curriculum based on more advanced management principles. They will also learn about other important business management areas, such as marketing, finance, information systems, and legal issues.

BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION IN MANAGEMENT

This Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management prepares students to pursue a career in managing activities in a private, public, non-profit, or governmental organization. In addition to specific management and behavioral courses, formal studies will include Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Systems and Statistics. The Business Management specialization prepares students for a broad career in a general business environment.

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION IN MANAGEMENT

The St. Thomas University Master of Business Administration degree is designed for students who are currently in, or plan to enter, responsible positions of management. The MBA program provides a balance between the quantitative and qualitative aspects of management and focuses on the needs of part-time students who may have special concerns because of their employment responsibilities. The MBA also provides an opportunity for full-time students to complete the degree program in as few as seven nine-week terms, i.e., less than 18 months.

PUBLIC MANAGEMENT - GRADUATE BUSINESS CERTIFICATE

Graduate Business Certificates increase student’s knowledge and skills by completing four courses in an area of specialization. Business Certificates are available ONLY in conjunction with graduate degree programs, and students should apply for the certificates when they apply for the degree.
The graduate Certificate in Public Management emphasizes the opportunities, constraints, and unique role of public administration for managers in the public sector.
