Classroom and Events Support Requests
There are three ways to make a request:
- Email the department at LSLibAV@stu.edu. Please include event name and sponsoring group, date, time, location, and needed equipment.
- By phone: call the Circulation Desk at (305) 623-2332 to be connected to someone from the A/V department.
- In person: stop by the Audio-Visual Department, located off the first floor lobby, to make a request.
Please allow for enough lead time to schedule your request. See our specific policies below. Please note that the Law Library does not schedule classrooms, including the Library Seminar Rooms. Please contact the Law School Registrar's Office at (305) 623-2360 to schedule a room.
Request Policy
All requests for media equipment or assistance during Audio-Visual and Multimedia Department hours Monday through Friday must be made at least 24 hours in advance via email. All requests for equipment or assistance during Media Department hours on Saturday must be made at least 48 hours in advance. All requests for any equipment or assistance outside of media department hours (including Sundays and holidays) must be made at least 7 days in advance of the event.
We will attempt to accommodate all requests but the Department reserves the right to deny any request made outside of the above time frames. Classroom setups are ordinarily scheduled for 10 to 15 minutes before the start of the class, but may be affected by room or personnel availability. All equipment and schedule times are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. To ensure equipment and staff availability, all requests should be made as early as possible.
Please be advised that we are not responsible for problems occurring due to last minute requests or requests made in a manner other than as indicated above. All requests received before noon on Friday will be confirmed within 24 hours. Requests after noon on Friday will be confirmed on the next class day.
