Saint Thomas University School of Law has continuously exceeded my expectations. My first year in law school made me realize that STU's goal is to shape students into skilled and proficient practicing attorneys, who will strive to make a difference in their communities. STU's extremely qualified faculty is providing me with the expertise, guidance, and support I need to succeed in law school, and most importantly, in my professional career.

St. Thomas Law has really given me the tools, and the opportunity, to practice law.

When I first visited St. Thomas Law, I immediately felt a special connection with the school and the faculty. During my first visit of the campus, I was personally greeted by the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and introduced to current students who were proud to be at St. Thomas Law and excited to answer my questions, and guide me through my first year of law school. I knew that day that St. Thomas Law would offer me so much more than just practical legal training.

Because of the support and exceptional dedication of the St. Thomas faculty and staff, I have been able to not only excel academically, but also explore my interest in immigration law and get hands on experience. For example, during my 1L summer and 2L fall semesters I had the opportunity to intern at the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement. During my 2L spring semester, I participated in the St. Thomas Civil Practice Clinic where I interned at the Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review, gained invaluable experience and made great connections. Next year, I will work at the St. Thomas Law Immigration Clinic where I will represent my own clients under the supervision of Professor Michael Vastine.

St. Thomas Law has really given me the tools, and the opportunity, to practice law.
