Iris Rogatinsky

Professor Rogatinsky graduated from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 1998, where she earned her Juris Doctorate degree, with honors.  Professor Rogatinsky was a Senior Notes & Comments Editor of the Florida Law Review, earned three book awards in Property I, Property II, and Land Use Planning, and was inducted as a member of the Order of the Coif. Professor Rogatinsky has been practicing law in the areas of debtor/creditor law, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation and appeals since April 1999 and is Special Counsel to Assouline & Berlowe, P.A. Prior to joining Assouline & Berlowe, P.A., Professor Rogatinsky was a senior associate in the Business Finance and Restructuring department of the international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. She practices primarily in the area of debtor and creditors’ rights and bankruptcy law. She has represented debtors, creditors, trustees, and receivers in complex chapter 11 reorganization cases, out of court financial restructurings, and in an international federal equity receivership. She also has prepared and filed several appellate briefs in cases pending in both federal and state appellate courts involving bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy law issues. Professor Rogatinsky was a Legal Writing Instructor at St. Thomas University School of Law from 2006 through 2008, teaching Legal Research and Writing and Appellate Advocacy. Additionally, she has taught Debtor/Creditor Relations as an adjunct professor with Broward Community College’s Paralegal Studies program. Professor Rogatinsky joined the full time faculty in 2009 and currently teaches Legal Research and Writing and Advanced Legal Writing.
