Alumni can mentor St. Thomas law students in several ways. As practicing attorneys and career professionals, alumni can become mentors to individual law students, speakers for programs, coaches and judges for Moot Court and Moot Court competitions, and leaders for other law school events. The Office of Career Services cordially invites you to get involved.
Lawyers At Work Mentoring Program – St. Thomas is growing a pool of highly experienced attorneys eager to mentor. If you have been practicing for six or more years, you can join our mentor pool and be matched with a second-or third-year law student who has requested a mentor practicing in your area of law. Mentoring relationships last for one academic year and require a minimum of two hours of your time per month. We invite you to apply. If you have any questions, please contact mentoring program coordinator Maggie Kreuzberger at 305-474-2433 or at mmkreuz@stu.edu.
Lunch & Learn and other programs — On Tuesdays and Thursdays over the noon hour the Office of Career Services sponsors speakers—many of them alumni—who come to St. Thomas to share information about various types of law practice, and professionalism and other practical aspects of legal practice.
