AALS President-Elect Speaks at St. Thomas Law


On April 8th, 2014, the St. Thomas Law community welcomed Blake Morant, Dean of Wake Forest University School of Law and President-elect of the American Association of Law Schools. 

While the focus of Dean Morant’s presentation at St. Thomas Law was professionalism and diversity, he also shared his views on the effect of the changing economic landscape on the legal field, the scope of career opportunities for lawyers, and the value of a legal education.

Blake Morant is one of the nation’s best known and respected legal educators and scholars. He has served in numerous leadership positions in the American Association of Law Schools and the American Bar Association, has received recognition and awards from national legal organizations  and he regularly speaks across the country and internationally on professionalism, diversity, as well as topics relating to his scholarly interests.
